Kuramori - Haibane of the Abandoned Factory - Rakka's Work
flashback to reki hatching from her cocoon, in a room that is all dark and nailed shut with boards. little nemu runs to kuramori to tell her the news, and they enter the room and see a girl who is all bloody because no one was there to clean her when she sprouted her wings. her wings are black on the tips, and kuramori tries to cover this up when they walk to town. kuramori brings her to the temple, where she is asked what she dreamt, and is given the name reki. later, kuramori slaps reki for cutting off her black tips, and then hugs reki and promises to always be with her. nemu finds kuramori collapsed on the ground, exhausted from searching the forest for the stuff reki needs for her dye, and says that if kuramori dies then it's reki's fault. reki then goes to town and brings back some groceries, so she and nemu make dinner for the sleeping kuramori. when kuramori wakes up, she sees reki and nemu kneeling against her bed, asleep and holding hands. in the present, kana gave rakka medicine, but her fever still hasn't gone down. reki races off to the temple aaaand... i'm too lazy to write more. well, maybe just a little more. rakka's punishment for touching the wall is to collect the light tinsel (used for making the halos) from nameplates within the wall, and also keep the inside tidy. washi tells her to keep protective gear on while she works, no matter what, for it will protect her against anything that appears. she asks "what will appear?" but he doesn't answer.
