The End of Summer - Rain - Loss
rakka is searching for a room to live in, and feels that it is getting cold outside. kuu gives rakka a lovely jacket, tells her that winter comes quickly in that area. when kuu says she has lots of things to do and leaves the room, rakka notices kuu's halo dims briefly. later, rakka is helping reki and hikari make breakfast, and then a deep bell can be heard ringing. kana made the clock tower work, but it won't stop ringing unless someone shuts it down. so, reki forced her to make it stop. rakka goes with kana to shut it down, and kana tells rakka that kuu used to try to act older than she was, which resulted in crashing reki's moped and falling down the stairs with hikari's glasses on. kana says when kuu first came there, she bought that jacket, which was way too big for her, so that she would seem more adult. kana then says kuu has grown mentally, though. later, rakka goes to the room that kuu marked on her map, and it turns out to be the room rakka hatched in. kuu is waiting there for her, and as the sky outside darkens, kuu goes to the window. kuu says that inside her is a beautiful clear cup, which is slowing filling with water. she says that rakka gave her a few more drops, and that today she feels her cup is full. kuu's halo dims again, she thanks rakka, and then runs off. it begins to rain heavily outside, and rakka looks out the window and sees a beam of light shoot upward from the west forest, followed by a bunch of crows flying out of the forest. rakka says to reki the crows were trying to give her a message. reki then sends rakka back to the guest room, and doesn't talk about it. rakka runs outside to find kuu, and reki follows her. rakka says she thinks she went to the west forest, and kana shows up and asks urgently if she is sure. rakka tells them about the beam of light and the birds, and kana gets upset and runs back to the old home. reki says kuu may have left the nest and gone over the wall. kana turns the clock tower bell on so that they will know they're way back, and nemu, hikari, kana, rakka, and reki go to the west forest. they reach the wall and rakka runs up to a few stone steps, where there is a dull, metal halo and a few feathers sitting on the top step. rakka picks it up and cries. the haibanes then go to another mossy ruin area, where they stand in silence in front of kuu's halo. reki is separated from the group, and says "everybody... left me."
